How-do-you-do All,
Jen here again with another make-up tutorial.
Today I am going to give you a siomple rundown of how to brand eyeshadow for the sims 4, using some very simple techniques you will be able to practise it in no time at all.

First things first, Create a projection folder, proper noun it whatever you lot desire.

Download the female person/male face up template here:

[you will need this to make the eyeshadow properly fitted to the face]

Female: world wide web.mediafire.com/download/f2m827rhe72t276/Yf_Face.dds

Male: www.mediafire.com/download/jrcdpxd63eaovi7/malebody.dds

Now that that's washed  open Studio and create a standalone recolour.
in the drop carte go to eyeshadow, and select this ane.

Once you lot salvage your package in the project folder, extract the texture and salve information technology in your project folder.
open Photoshop, so open both the face up template and the centre shadow texture.
in one case you have both of them open, copy and paste the face template onto the background layer of the eyeshadow texture, and make the alpha visible so information technology looks similar this.

[to make the blastoff visible, tick the alpha box in the channels tab on the lower right side of the screen, its visible in the photo to show you where it is]
Next click and elevate a ruler to the center of the image, the ruler is located to the left. if the ruler is not already visible press Ctrl + R to do so. once you drag it close enough to the heart it will snap automatically.

Adjacent we need to desaturate the prototype of its colour. To do this, select from the drib bill of fare, under image - adjustments - blackness and white. If yous did this right so you should get a box looking like this, use the settings specified in the image.

The paradigm should now be black and white. Now apply the paintbrush to clone the color of skin right above the countenance.
and then absorb out the eyebrows then it looks like this. you may accept tov adjust the hardness of the edges of the brush. simply correct click. Once you accept done that select the entire side that you have been drawing on, then copy it, correct click, select changed, paste, then right click again, free transform,
Should look similar to this.

Now you can use the dodge or fire tool to make areas around the middle lighter or darker, And blur them if necessary. practice the aforementioned every bit before copy and paste the half to fit to the other side.

now yous ar ready to import the texture to s4s and see how it looks on the model.

I like the mode mine turned out :).

before we add color theres something we have to do get-go, select the eyes in a small squared marquee, right click, select inverse, right click, make full, choose black from the drop bill of fare.
it should look similar this.

Adding colour is the simplest part.
Go to image - adjustments - black and white. bank check the box that says tint by the lower part of the box.
I'k going to make mine gold, so my settings look like this. you do non have to make information technology gilded, simply be careful with the saturation. I usually similar the way saturation looks at 58%. Subsequently you have made the image gold save it separately, do not salve over the white texture.

You can repeat this procedure to brand as many swatches in different colors as you want.

Create a new swatch in s4s. and import the gold texture.

you lot should have 2 swatches now, white and gold.

That covers just almost everything... If yous still have whatsoever questions, dont hesitate to pm me, I am always happy to help. :)

Hither is a moving picture of what it looks like in game! It will be bachelor for download every bit soon as I brand more swatches for it. :)

paint.Internet doesn't accept a dodge or burn down tool built in and I've been unable to discover a good plugin for it that will add this function. I remember GIMP would be your best bet for a free alternative to Photoshop for doing this tutorial.

Please aid other creators find Sims 4 Studio and receive the assist you received past mentioning Sims 4 Studio with your downloads :)
Please do non PM me with questions about projects or getting Studio to run on your computer. I do non answer these PMs.

I really don't get this pace

The image should now be black and white. At present employ the paintbrush to clone the color of skin right above the eyebrow.
then absorb out the eyebrows so it looks like this. you may have tov adapt the hardness of the edges of the brush. merely correct click. Once you have done that select the entire side that you accept been drawing on, then copy it, right click, select inverse, paste, and then correct click again, free transform,
Should await similar to this.

Thanks for the tutorial, laracroftfan1. It worked for me and I learned something new near Photoshop.

I wanted to make a lipstick and used a texture overlay too and thought the results looked practiced in Photoshop, but then S4S tells me I need to import the new texture as a dds file. I thought that was unnecessary now. S4S will accept PNG files for everything else I make now, is in that location an exception for some types of CAS parts?

Never mind, I got my plug-in state of affairs fixed at present.
